Mattishall is a compact Norfolk village with a core of older brick and pantile cottages, a Victorian church with a sizeable roof, and a scattering of more recent bungalows — each type presenting its own lead work requirements.
The village sits between Dereham and Wymondham and shares the character of mid-Norfolk's quieter rural settlements. Many of the older cottages around All Saints' Church have had piecemeal repairs carried out over the years, and it's common to find a mix of original lead, later aluminium and bituminous sealing — none of which are as durable as properly dressed new lead sheet.
We cover Mattishall as part of our regular mid-Norfolk schedule, so call-out times are short and there's no premium for travelling out from Norwich. We're happy to carry out a free roof inspection and advise honestly on whether repair or full replacement is the right call.
